Time has passed and it’s time for London Fashion Week!! I feel so thankful that Preen give me an opportunity to be part of their show. It was a very amazing experience I ever have. I could not even hide my excitement when I was there. Before this fashion week I also have attended graduate fashion week. However, I feel that the hype and atmosphere are completely different especially in here everything seem really big and professional. There are a lot of well-know press, professional model and of course important people in fashion including a lot of buyers from Net a Porter, Harvey Nichols, Matches fashion and Galeries Lafayette.
Everyone in London fashion week dress really nice, they all dress differently with their own style. It was so interesting to see how people mix and match their outfit. On the show, I was helping at the front door welcoming all the guests. At first, I was asked to help with the backstage as a dresser, however, since it is already full they put me at front, yet still I am having a lot of fun being at the front, beside I have a chance to see and talk with a lot of important people in fashion industry, I also can see the show clearer as I am standing just behind the guests.
Preen was showing 40 looks of their new collection at the show. Their new collection for spring/summer 2019 is based on travel combined with their signature floral print. The show went really smooth everyone seems so happy and satisfied. It was absolutely amazing. It lasted for about 30 minutes but I personally feel that was not enough. After the show finished, everyone was helping each other to tidying up. Surprisingly, it did not take a long time, as I believe that because a lot of people including staff and intern were helping. After the show everyone was invited to after party, I assume almost all of us were going. Sadly, since I have another things to do I couldn’t join the party.
After all, I feel very happy for today. For me this is such an amazing experience, I hope that one day I will have another chance to be part of London fashion week again not for someone else’s show but for mine.
